      This was another Scotch-Irish Presbyterian settlement adjacent to that developed by John Caldwell and the Reverend John Thomson contributed to the Buffalo settlement in Prince Edward County for Children: George Finley, Elizabeth Finley, Robert Osborne Finley, Jean Finley, Samuel Finley. John owned a house in Prince Edward County where he and his family lived. He bought the Prince Edward house/property on J from Thomas Gibson. It is believed that he and wife died in some sort of accident together in Prince Edward County a few months or one year after the purchase. They had ten children.
